Dr. Ravindra Patil


The Department offers one undergraduate and one post-graduate leading to bachelor and master degrees in civil and structural engineering respectively. The department is enriched with combination of young and experience faculties with expertise in academics and research in the domain of civil engineering. The faculties strive hard to create the thrust in the students to take active participation, both in academics and research. With the inclusion of doctoral faculties from various IIT's and NIT's, the department has extended the new horizons to students, which provides quality education and success in their profession. The faculties also take active participation in consultancy and R&D works to extend their support to outside society, which keeps institute reputation high.

      • They attended the Program Swayamsiddha which was organized by Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati at Shardanagar during 28 to 31 December 2015. This program aimed at apprehending the hidden power in women thereby making them independent and sustain in today's competitive world through the interactive talks and activities by experts belonging to different fields.

      • He is a third year student in Department of Civil Engineering. He was selected for All India Knock-Out Cup 2015 on the basis of state event conducted by Maharashtra Boxing Association and Amateur Ranking of the players. He represented Team Ma-harashtra as a captain for Tournament held at Vishakhapatnam during 17 to 20 December 2015 and played till quarter finals and ranked 4th in the Tournament.

Kale from Civil Engg Department of Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune. He gave demo and hands on training to 78 TE Civil students with respect to following content- Practical based on various special functions available in a total station such as remote elevation measurements, remote distance measurements and co-ordinate stake out.

    Students studied and observed various components of industrial building, welded plate girder composite bridge and gained knowledge of different aspects of structural design-I (Steel Structure). The H R Officers of Bharat Forge and site engineers guided students about the construction, erection and design of industrial building and explained the process of it.

    Department of Civil Engineering organized an Education Visit to Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Sharda Nagar in Baramati. This visit was organised on 24 September 2018. 65 students along with two faculty members visited the place. The visit was organised to study different meteorological parameters and its measurement. Students studied measurement of rainfall, evaporation, temperature and humidity and their devices during the visit. Ms. S R Deshmukh and Dr. S G Morkhade coordinated the visit.

    This visit was organised for BE students. The destination was Common Effluent Treatment Plant at MIDC, Kurkumbh. Students carefully studied and observed the complete process of waste water treatment, functions of its components and practical methods to find out characteristics of industrial waste water. Officials at CETP guided the students about various ways to treat Industrial waste water.
    The students carefully studied and observed the complete process of cable pretensioning, concreting, curing, etc. Officials at the manufacturing plant guided the students regarding various aspects of railway sleepers.

    Bhatghar and Nira Deoghar Dam's Hydro Electric Power Plant

    Nira Deoghar Dam:- Nira-Deoghar is an irrigation project across river Nira, a Right bank tributary of Bhima in Krishna basin near village Deoghar, Taluka-Bhor, Dist-Pune. This project is an irrigation-cum power project with of power potential of 6MW. Kank saheb guided us and explained dam features and showed power house.

    Dam is This dam is constructed across the river Krishna. Krishna river is one of the longest rivers in central-southern India, about 1,300 kilometers (810 mi). flows through the states Maharashtra , Karnataka , Andhra Pradesh and ends in bay. Irrigation - The construction of this dam was started in 1996. The major purpose of this dam is the supply of water to the agriculture, industries, and for drinking. Water supply is majorly done for Wai, Phaltan, Khandala, Bhor, Panchgani - Mahabaleshwar and the surrounding villages on the bank of the dam.
