Department of Computer Engineering is committed to provide excellence in Engineering. Computer Society of India (CSI) organized IT Olympiad in the month of February 2016. Total 9 student and 1 faculty from our department participated. Out of these Prof. Bhushan Mahajan was among the top 25 and Akshay Shirke (TE Computer) reached to Semi-Final of this Olympiad.

Department of Computer Engineering organized One Day Workshop on "Introduction to Programming Languages-Build Your career" in association with Computer Engineering Students Association(CESA) on 23th July 2016. The vision of the workshop was to introduce students with programming language like python, PHP, JavaScript and many more. This was the attempt to give attempt to give guidance and direction to the new learners. Mr. Digambar Padulkar, Ms. Kshitija Upadhyay and Mr. Suraj Dhanawe introduced students about various structural and object oriented programming languages.

Workshop on Business Analytics and Intelligence

Department of Computer Engineering organized One Day Workshop on "Business Analytics and Intelligence" in association with Computer Society of India(CSI) on 23th March 2016. The Expert was Dr. Manasi Patwardhan, Dean, Research and Industry Relations, VIT, Pune. Overall, the sessions were very informative and full of knowledge. Students experienced the application of theoretical knowledge practically. Students were involved and engaged throughout the workshop. There was a short of time to learn more. Expert has shared her other related material and case studies to understand the depth of Topic. Students have given good feedback and the workshop is successful in its objectives.

Seminar on Advanced Algorithms

Department of Computer Engineering organized One Day Seminar on "Advanced Algorithms" in association with BCUD, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune on 12th March 2016. Algorithm design and analysis is a fundamental and important part of computer science. This course introduced researchers to advanced techniques for the design and analysis of algorithms, and explored a variety of applications. This seminar essentially helped researchers/Teachers to broaden their boundaries of Algorithmic skills. This seminar enlightened the path for latest happenings in the field of Algorithm Design.

Android Apps Development

Department of Computer Engineering organized two days workshop on "Android Apps Development" in Association with AppsFluxus on 13th& 14th February 2016. The resource person for this workshop was Mr. Sanjeev Kumar from AppsFluxus. The main aim of this workshop was to promote student for the National Championship on "Android Apps Development" organized by AppsFluxus in association with IIT Roorkee. As a result, total 5 students from this workshop selected for aforesaid championship.

Workshops Attended

Prof. Bhushan Arun Mahajan attended 4 day TEQIP Short Term Training program on "Software Requirement and Specification" at Department of Computer Engineering, S.V. NIT, Surat during 9th May - 13th May 2016. The objective of this workshop was to explore the connection of Software Engineering in our student's project development and to provide stand for the exchange knowledge of Software Engineering practices in institutes.

CESA: Computer Engineering Students' Association

  • About CESA

    CESA, The Computer Engineering Student's Association of VPKBIET BARAMATI, Aims to play a pivotal role in the development of students as Engineers by various out-of-curriculum and extra curricular activities. CESA develops current and future leaders and amplifies the student voice at the Local, State, and National levels by mobilizing grassroots power to win concrete victories on student issues.


    Objectives


    CESA aims to inculcate among its members an awareness and appreciation of the various disciplines of not just Computer Engineering but also other relevant fields. By way of its activities CESA aims to be a platform for all the students of VPKBIET BARAMATI in general and particularly of the students of Computer department. CESA seeks to be an active organization of the Computer department at VPKBIET which promotes their career interests.


    A man only learns in two ways, one by reading, and the other by association with smarter people.

    Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.
